Planning Your Year with Hove Village Day Nurseries

At Hove Village Day Nurseries, we understand how important it is for families to plan ahead. That’s why we provide clear information about our term dates and nursery closure days well in advance — so you can organise childcare around your family’s schedule with ease.

We are open for 50 weeks each year, with our closure days detailed below…

For the purposes of securing your Government Funded Entitlement, term dates are generally as follows:

Spring Term – January to April

Summer Term – May to August

Autumn Term – September to December

Nursery Closure Days

Our nurseries will be closed on the following public holidays and staff training days:

Bank Holidays:

Monday 6th January 2026 (New Year’s Day observed)
Monday 7th April 2026 (Good Friday)
Monday 10th April 2026 (Easter Monday)
Monday 1st May 2026 (Early May Bank Holiday)
Monday 29th May 2026 (Spring Bank Holiday)
Monday 28th August 2026 (Summer Bank Holiday)

Staff Training (INSET) Days:

Friday 6th November 2025

Additional Information

Closure days apply across all Hove Village Day Nursery locations.

Fees are worked out to take these closure days into account, and are spread out throughout the year.

We recommend booking extra sessions in advance around term breaks to ensure availability.

Flexible Childcare Options

If you need emergency childcare, or to change your little one’s attendance pattern, please speak to your Nursery Manager. We often have extra sessions available, but these go quickly!
