Overview
Bloomsbury on the Beach is a distinctive preschool-setting operated by Hove Village, located at Units 1-4, 300 Madeira Drive, Brighton, BN2 1BX.
It opened in Summer 2023 as a “beach-front” extension of the Bloomsbury Street nursery, designed specifically for older toddlers and pre-school children and emphasising outdoor-learning in a coastal setting.
The focus is on “Beach School” ethos: combining the early years curriculum with rich outdoor, nature and seaside experiences.

Why do we stand out?
-
Unique location: Few nurseries offer a genuine seaside‐front setting for early years in the Brighton & Hove area.
-
Strong outdoor and nature learning: The beach school ethos means children will spend significant time outside, exploring the coast, which supports physical development, curiosity and connection to nature.
-
Inclusive full-day model: Meals, snacks, creative classes, and outdoor trips are included, making this more than just a childcare provision—it has a richer curriculum feel.
-
High parent satisfaction: Reviews emphasise both enjoyment of children and the quality of staff, offering confidence in day-to-day care.
