Enriching Experiences Beyond the Classroom
Extra-Curricular Activities at Hove Village Day Nurseries Brighton
At Hove Village Day Nurseries, we believe that childhood should be filled with rich, memorable experiences that inspire curiosity, creativity, and confidence. That’s why we offer a wide range of extra-curricular activities designed to complement our Early Years curriculum — giving children the opportunity to explore new skills, passions, and interests beyond their everyday learning.
Hartbeeps for Under 2’s
Award-winning immersive sensory music classes for little ones with big imaginations. Inspired by curiosity, backed by research and sprinkled with magic.
Music with Mike for Over 2’s
A highly energetic class with lots of singing, drumming, shakers, rhythm sticks, tambourines, musical movement activities and plenty of dancing!
Debutots for Over 2’s
Debutots classes develop children’s language and communication skills.
Dipping tiny toes into the world of stories, words and sounds, babies and toddlers delight in a multi-sensory blend of storytelling, puppets, bubbles and music.
Yoga
Yoga in the early years boosts physical skills like balance, coordination, strength, and flexibility while also fostering crucial mental and emotional growth, including improved focus, self-esteem, emotional regulation, and stress management through breathing and mindfulness, creating a foundation for lifelong well-being in a fun, non-competitive way.
Dance
Dance is important in the early years because it supports children’s development in a holistic and age-appropriate way, combining movement, creativity, and social interaction.
Ballet
Ballet in the early years supports children’s physical, social, and emotional development through gentle, structured movement. It helps develop balance, coordination, posture, and body awareness while encouraging listening, concentration, and memory through simple routines set to music. Early years ballet is playful and imaginative, building confidence, creativity, and self-expression in a calm and nurturing environment, and provides strong foundations for healthy movement and a lifelong enjoyment of dance.
