Hove Village Day Nursery – Bloomsbury Street is located at 16 Bloomsbury Street, Kemptown, Brighton, BN2 1HQ.

We emphasise a “child-led” approach with strong creative, outdoor and exploratory elements.

Age Range & Places

The nursery is open Monday to Friday, all year round, with sessions from 7:30 am to 6:30 pm for full-day care.
We have 47 places and 58 children on roll.

The nursery promotes a creative focus: yoga, dance, music, art, imaginative play are explicitly mentioned.
Outdoor and community-based learning is extremely important to us (the site is in the heart of Brighton’s Kemptown, close to the local park and beach) and the environment is designed to be “freeing” and exploratory.
From the Ofsted inspection (Oct 2024): children arrive happily, settle quickly, show confidence; staff work on tailored support, especially for children with special educational needs/disabilities.
The inspection noted that staff plan interesting experiences, including yoga classes where children show perseverance and good levels of physical development.

We provide freshly prepared food (breakfast, lunch, tea, snacks) daily.
Our fees include all meals, snacks, nappies, formula, early starts and late finishes are included in the full-day fees/extras model.
